Carbide Threading Dies Manufacturers
Flat die thread rolling is a cold forming process used to create external threads on cylindrical workpieces. The process involves using a set of flat dies with thread profiles that are pressed against the workpiece to move the material and form the threads.
The following are the basic steps for flat die thread rolling:
1. Preparation: Preparation of the workpiece (usually a cylindrical bar or blank) is to ensure that it is clean and free of any surface defects or irregularities.
2. Feeding: The workpiece is fed between the flat dies located in the thread rolling machine. The mold is designed with a negative profile of the thread to be formed.
3. Rolling: The flat dies are brought together under high pressure to displace the workpiece material and form the thread profile on the die. The process is usually completed at room temperature, making it a cold forming process.
4. Shaping: Using appropriate mold profiles and machine settings, the formed threads are shaped and formed to meet the required specifications.
5. Finishing: After the thread rolling process, the workpiece may undergo additional finishing operations such as chamfering, deburring, or surface treatment to obtain the desired final product.
Flat die thread rolling is an efficient, precise method that produces high-quality threads with excellent strength and surface finish, making it a popular choice in the manufacturing industry.

The regular maintenance of mold parts has a great influence on the life of the mold.
The question is: How do we maintain when using these components?
Step 1.Make sure there is a vacuum machine that automatically removes the waste at regular intervals. If the waste is removed well, the breakage rate of the punch will be lower.
Step 2.Make sure the density of the oil is correct, not too sticky or diluted.
Step 3. If there is a wear problem on the die and die edge, stop using it and polish it in time, otherwise it will wear out and quickly expand the die edge and reduce the life of the die and parts.
Step 4. To ensure the life of the mold, the spring should also be replaced regularly to prevent the spring from being damaged and affecting the use of the mold.
